Join us for the opportunity to experience the lands and legacies forged by centuries of Baltic history. By special arrangement, hear from Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and former President of Poland Lech Wałęsa and the interpreter and advisor to Mikhail Gorbachev, Pavel Palazhchenko. Explore the cultural rebirth of the Baltic states, the imperial riches of St. Petersburg and the luminous “White Nights of Summer” on this six-country, eight-night program. Cruise aboard the exclusively chartered, Five-Star Le Dumont-d’Urville from Stockholm, Sweden to Copenhagen, Denmark, with an excursion included in every port. UCLA Faculty on Tour

Susan Kresin

Dr. Susan Kresin has worked since 1996 in the Department of Slavic, East European and Eurasian Languages, where she teaches Russian, Czech, and graduate courses on Slavic linguistics. She also serves as the student coordinator of the UCLA Russian Flagship Program, part of a national initiative that enables students to develop professional-level fluency in combination with a variety of majors. Her publications cover both linguistic and pedagogical topics, reflecting the variety of roles that she fills at UCLA. Her current research focuses on Russian heritage speakers and the Russian-language communities of Los Angeles.
