college fairs

Represent UCLA at a college fair near you in California! You’ll have the opportunity to meet other active alumni volunteers, answer questions about UCLA and speak with prospective Bruins about why UCLA could be the ideal university for them.
Most college fairs are held at high schools on week nights during the months of August – November. An up-to-date listing of upcoming college fairs will be provided to volunteers after they attend a mandatory training session. You will be able to sign up for the fairs that are most convenient for your schedule. The time commitment is roughly 2-3 hours per fair.
For more information please contact FutureBruin@alumni.ucla.edu.
Training: Volunteers participate in a mandatory virtual training session facilitated by Undergraduate Admissions and Alumni Affairs to learn more about UCLA’s admission process, UCLA facts, UCLA highlights, fair logistics and frequently asked questions. You will also learn more about volunteer expectations, get to meet other local volunteers and learn best practices.
alumni mentor program
As an alumni mentor, you will have the opportunity to provide students academic guidance as well as career and personal development advice. Your mentorship can empower students to create a game plan for the year ahead, explore career possibilities and even begin to build their network. We encourage mentors and students to connect on a regular basis (e.g., by phone, video conference or email). However, the frequency and form of communication are things you both can determine.
Whether you are right down the street or across the globe, we invite alumni from around the world to be part of the UCLA Alumni Mentor Program.
bruin day and transfer bruin day

Bruin Day is an exclusive, annual event designed especially for admitted students and their families to learn about our world-class academic programs, research opportunities and financial aid resources, take campus and housing tours, and experience what it means to be a Bruin.
Volunteers will interact with students and their families and convey to them their passion for UCLA, their experience as a student, and why they chose UCLA. You can also volunteer to serve on an alumni panel that answers questions about your UCLA experience and life after graduation.
To learn more, please contact the Future Bruin Initiatives team.
