Jamie Kreiner is the Robert and Dorothy Wellman Chair in Medieval History at UCLA. She teaches courses about medieval politics, religion, culture, and ecologies; and her research has tracked down the histories of monks, politicos, and pigs. Her most recent books are The Wandering Mind: What Medieval Monks Tell Us About Distraction and How to Focus: A Monastic Guide for an Age of Distraction.
